I appreciated the sign_update.rb script for generating signature for the update. It would be very nice to also automate generation of the element to be inserted in the appcast feed. I mean, to output an XML string (e.g. using an input XSLT file) inserting the current date, the file size and the signature in right places. Otherwise it is quite cumbersome to copy and paste these. It looks quite easy to script but unfortunately, I am not familiar with Ruby, so there’s no way for me to do it myself or to integrate your sign_update.rb script into something I can write myself… Is there already a solution? Thanks!

I noticed that checkForUpdatesInBackground is no longer in the headers (but still in the framework). Is this intentional?

Also, the Window that comes up when you have a new version available doesn’t have a minimum size set (so you can squish it). Or more accurately, it has minimum size set (checkbox), but the min size is 0,0.

Dammit, it turns out I’m tremendously stupid. Alright, bzr pull, and it’s fixed. I made the .xcconfig for the new build configuration, but I never told the dual mode configuration to use it.

Hi Andy, glad to see 1.5 going ‘official’.

However, the Sparkle-with-GC.framework doesn’t seem to actually support GC. I confirmed that the Release (Dual Mode) configuration in the sources has Garbage Collection set to ‘Unsupported’. Am I missing something?

Yep, I’m merged. Really sorry to have forgotten about the acknowledgment. I had a huge list of “Thanks” in the old Sparkle documentation, but because I’m rewriting the documentation, I haven’t had a chance to get that back up yet. I made a note in the release notes.
